Q: My EMT card says I have to "test" this year. A: There is no longer a County Test. The Test date means nothing anymore.

Q: I have my 24 hours of CE. Can I just do the State Skills Exam in your class? A: Yes. Just show up on Day 3 at 4:00 pm. No registration, just show up. Cost: $50.00
Q: How many hours of training do I need now? A: 24 hours.
Q: If my card is expired, what do I need now?
A: If your card had exired:
...less that 6 months, No additional hours needed.
...6 months to a year, you need 36 hours.
...1 year up to 2 years, 48 hours (plus take the National Registry Exam)
...Over 2 years,,,,you have to take the entire EMT Class again. Bummer
Q: Am I "Grandfathered" into the National Regestry? A: No. If you want to be National Registered, you will need 48 hours and take their exam.
Q: Is my EMT card valid in other counties? A: Yes. Your card is valid for all of California.
Q: Can I get all of my 24 hours of CE online? A: No. At least 1/2 of your CE MUST be lecture based. The rest can be online.
